On an elevated site overlooking the vibrant market town of Aberfeldy and the River Tay, Dun Aluinn is cradled by 5.5 acres of private grounds with a sweeping terrace offering stunning views down the Tay Valley to one of Scotland’s most famous mountains, Schiehallion. Those panoramic views can also be enjoyed from the wood-fired, cedar hot tub, hidden away in the woods beside the house.
This restored Victorian home brings the landscape of the Tay Valley to life with its wood panelling and open fires. The original mosaic tiles and front door make a striking first impression. A design led exclusive use property with luxury interiors throughout – the orange corner sofa is a B&B Italia Tufty-Too design by Patricia Urquiola, while the tables are from Oasiq. An outdoor terrace with Oasiq chairs next to a Kadai Fire Bowl. A 1940s drinks cabinet came all the way from Fins de Siècles in Barcelona. Continued to each stunning bedroom and a white stone bath in the master bedroom has dual views over the valley. This oak four-poster bed from Benchmark in England is covered with beautiful throws from Johnstons of Elgin in Northern Scotland.
We were delighted to open the newly renovated Lodge at Dun Aluinn in July 2021. Similar to Dun Aluinn, the Lodge has been beautifully restored with superb attention to detail and finishing throughout. This restored caretaker’s Bungalow has been transformed and brings home the landscape of the Tay Valley to life. A superb decking area at the front of The Lodge offers sweeping views across the valley and towards the River Tay.
Dun Aluinn and the Lodge can be hired independently of each other or rented together providing a total of 13 luxury en suite bedrooms.
